When I first had my hypothyroidism diagnosed, my doctor put me on the medication, and told me he couldn't check the blood level again for 8 weeks, and that it would probably take that long to feel any better. After 8 weeks, he checked it, and it looked great. I still didn't feel a whole lot better, although my hair stopped falling out. It's been probably 6 months now, and I still feel like I need a higher dose. So hang in there. It will take a long time for him to get feeling good again.
