ABOUT THE AUTHORS

C Phillips and D Roach are identical twin sisters who have both suffered from hypothyroidism during childhood and again during adulthood (due to a reduction in their treatment). They have therefore been able to describe experiences of hypothyroidism from a personal perspective. As they are both science graduates, they were also able to document their experiences from a scientific standpoint.

Dansk: C Phillips og D Roach er enæggede tvillingesøstre, der begge har lidt af hypothyreose i barndommen og igen i voksenalderen (som følge af en reduktion i deres medicindoser). De har derfor været i stand til at beskrive oplevelser af hypothyreose i et personligt perspektiv. Da de begge er naturvidenskabelige forskere, var de også i stand til at dokumentere deres erfaringer fra et videnskabeligt synspunkt.
