As far as I know, there are no other active thyroid forums in Scandinavia than ours and one in Sweden. There is an enclosed private forum "Oasen" you can find by following the link: http://www.stoffskifte.info/Oasen/

You can also try to contact the owner of Eve's Blog: http://www.thyroid.se/bloggar/swingo/ which is read by many, many thyroid patients in Scandinavia.

You can also look at the topic: https://www.stofskifteforum.dk/showthread.php?t=8184 where the artist (Hashimoto `s) Ruth Roland works with an exhibition: "Thyroid and art!" The issue Ruth would like to place in people's minds, so attention to the thyroid diseases becomes better known in society. We will invite Ruth Roland to post an introduction to the project in English as soon as she can.

Sonjas Stoffskifteforum is the only large open forum, while the Swedish forum Turtles Sköldkörtel Forum is closed for others than registered users only. Sonjas Stoffskifteforum is also the only "thyroid-political" forum in Scandinavia and we are NOT happy that there are no more independent thyroid-political groups than ours.

When I say "political" I do not mean that we are working politically, but that we give space to other topics than user-to-user support sa well, and we allows everyone to comment freely on the issues behind the poor treatment of thyroid diseases and adrenal insufficiency in our society.

We are very well aware of Thyroid Patient Advocacy-UK and if you look in the left column on our front page, you will see that we are already linking to Sheila Turner Thyroid Patient Advocacy.

It is high time that someone starts talking loudly and clearly in the public about the medical profession's poor thyroid knowledge and treatment, and about the pharmaceutical industry's lobbying to block the best treatment for thyroid diseases.
