Om stoffskifte, irritabel tarm og kosthold
Arlyn har vært på nett og pratet stoffskifte i årevis og har i årenes løp funnet sin egen vei til ganske god form. Her er kortversjonen hennes (beklager til de ikke-engelsk-lesende, men jeg orker ikke oversette).
Yes, it's live food. I eliminated most animal products--still eat dairy and
occasionally eggs. Fresh fruit smoothies for breakfast. Salads for lunch
and dinner. I added wheat back into my diet. I bake my own bread so I know
exactly what is in it. When I did that, I gained 30 pounds back!!!!! Ack!
But I really enjoy bread. :(
I ate the diet fairly purely for about three years. Loved it. Lots of
fruit, etc. But then moved to a very cold climate and added wheat back.
Also started eating sugar again. Very, very bad for me!! I have now added
a protein powder to my smoothie in the morning. Remember, I have a soft
tissue disease and needed to add a bit to support that. That ended my sugar
cravings, by the way. Wooohooooo.
Now I can't afford to buy the amount of fruit I used to eat. The prices
have gone up so much. So I'm looking at supplementing with a powder that is
made of living foods.
Anyway, when I changed diets, my pain lessened, my skin cleared up, my IBS
went away. My fibroid tumor went away, my cholesterol lowered, all my
seasonal and food allergies went away, I got off of T3 medicine. And I've
been lowering my T4 ever since. Not too sure if I like that part, but
that's what the doctor insists on. I did lose 47 pounds. I'm bummed it is
coming back but can't figure out why it is.
Also exercise is a huge part of a living food, raw food diet. Exercise is
difficult for us, of course. But it is very necessary to keep the bowels
working properly and the body eliminating properly. I had to work into it
carefully. I'm still having difficulty with exercise, mainly because of my
soft tissue disease.
