Liothyronin er t3, det aktive hormonet, og fins i liothyronintabletter (på blå resept) samt naturlig thyroxin (Armour Thyroid)

Oftest er dosen 2 ganger en kvart tablett liothyronin. Man tar det i tillegg til levaxin.
