Natural desiccated thyroid dramatically improved symptoms more than Synthroid (T4), Mark Starr, MD
Third generation clinical endocrinologist, Dr. Jacques Hertoghe found that symptoms of hypothyroidism—fatigue, depression, cold intolerance, constipation, headaches, muscle cramps, joint and muscle pain (rheumatoid), and slow achilles reflex—were dramatically reduced when patients were switched from Synthroid (T4 thyroid hormone) to Natural Desiccated Thyroid.
Switching patients from Synthroid (T4 thyroid hormone) to Natural Desiccated Thyroid reduced constipation from 40% of patients to 14% of patients.
Switching patients from Synthroid (T4) to Natural Desiccated Thyroid reduced headache from 55% of patients to 15% of patients.
Switching patients from Synthroid (T4) to Natural Desiccated Thyroid reduced muscle cramps from 56% of patients to 9% of patients.
Switching patients from Synthroid (T4) to Natural Desiccated Thyroid reduced depression from 61% of patients to 23% of patients.
Switching patients from Synthroid (T4) to Natural Desiccated Thyroid reduced slow achilles reflex from 70% of patients to 33% of patients.
Switching patients from Synthroid (T4) to Natural Desiccated Thyroid reduced joint and muscle pain (rheumatoid) from 78% of patients to 29% of patients.
Switching patients from Synthroid (T4) to Natural Desiccated Thyroid reduced cold intolerance from 86% of patients to 24% of patients.
Switching patients from Synthroid (T4) to Natural Desiccated Thyroid reduced fatigue from 90% of patients to 26% of patients.
Mark Starr, MD talks about this in his wonderful book, Hypothyroidism, Type 2: The Epidemic.
"In his book, 'Solved: The Riddle of Heart Attacks', Dr. [Broda] Barnes [MD, PhD] stated, 'I am amazed to see the number of patients who recently have been placed on thyroxine (T4) [Synthroid] when the physicians realized that thyroid therapy was needed. Obviously, the patient was not being relieved of the symptoms, or another doctor [Dr. Barnes] would not have been sought. [Dr. Barnes saw a myriad of such patients]," Mark Starr, MD writes in his book.
"The failure was due to the fact that thyroxine [T4 or Synthroid] is only a part of thyroid hormone."
"I concur completely and am happy to report great strides in my patients' health, as well as my family's, after switching back to the desiccated thyroid preparation."
In a long-term study done by third generation clinical endocrinologist, Dr. Jacques Hertoghe and two his colleagues, they found that the total number of symptoms—the symptom score—were NO BETTER in those taking Synthroid (T4) than Untreated Patients (10.4 to 10.7 in those taking Synthroid (T4) compared to 10.0 to 10.1 in patients with hypothyroidism who were taking NO thryoid)!
Symptoms were score as:
2 points if the symptom was full-blown
1 point if the symptom was present, but not full-blown
0 points if the symptom was not present.
The Symptom Score improved dramatically when putting untreated patients on Natural Desiccated Thyroid — falling from 10.1 to 3.6.
The Symptom Score also improved dramatically when they switched patients on Synthroid (T4) to Desiccated thyroid — falling from 10.7 to 3.6.
This shows that Natural Desiccated Thyroid is VASTLY superior to Synthroid (T4).
The average dose of Natural Desiccated Thyroid was 200 to 233 mg or 3 to 3.5 grains.
One grain equals 65 mg.
------
My research shows that many chronic illnesses including heart disease, obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis, mental illnesses, Alzheimer's disease, and the explosion of childhood illnesses are largely attributable to Type 2 hypothyroidism.
Type 1 Hypothyroidism is defined as failure of the thyroid gland to produce sufficient amounts of necessary to maintain normal blood levels of those hormones and normal blood levels of the thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH).
Type 2 Hypothyroidism is defined as [a] resistance to thyroid hormones at the cellular level.
[In Type 2 hypothyroidism,] Normal amounts of thyroid hormones and thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) are detected by the blood tests therefore, blood tests do not detect Type 2 hypothyroidism.

Hei Nielsigne hjerte1hjerte1hjerte1
